Sacred Heart Opens New Outpatient Center at The Market Shops in Miramar Beach

MIRAMAR BEACH, Fla. Sacred Heart Health System is pleased to announce the opening of a new outpatient healthcare facility at The Market Shops in Miramar Beach, which is located at 9375 Emerald Coast Parkway West at the entrance to Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort. The new clinic opens on Aug. 1 and features pediatric and adult primary care services, lab and x-ray services, and rehabilitation services for physical, occupational and speech therapy.

Beginning in the fall, the clinic will also provide a pediatric after-hours clinic to serve the growing needs of families in our community. Walk-in services will be available seven days a week. Sacred Heart Medical Group Pediatrics at The Market Shops will be backed by the services of The Studer Family Children's Hospital at Sacred Heart, Northwest Florida's only hospital solely dedicated to the care of sick and injured babies and children.

Sacred Heart Medical Group at The Market Shops

Several Sacred Heart Medical Group physicians will see patients at the new clinic, including:

Dr. Patrick Ferry, Internal Medicine: Dr. Ferry earned his medical degree from Louisiana State University and completed residency training at Tulane University Health Sciences Center in New Orleans, LA. He has special interest in health maintenance, cardiovascular health, diabetes and adolescent medicine.

Dr. Kathy Green, Family Medicine: Dr. Green received her medical degree from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She continued her training at the 96th Medical Group at Eglin Air Force Base where she completed her internship and residency program in family medicine. Dr. Green also completed her preventive medicine residency and master's degree in public health from the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Maryland. She has special medical interests in preventive medicine, wellness and public health.

Dr. Matthew Kinzelman, Family Medicine: Dr. Kinzelman received his medical degree from Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI and completed his residency training at Tallahassee Memorial Regional Medical Center in Tallahassee, Fla. He provides primary medical care of adult and pediatric patients.

Dr. Mikael MacKinney, Family Medicine: Dr. MacKinney received his medical degree from the University of Kansas School of Medicine and completed his residency training at the University of Missouri in Kansas City. Dr. MacKinney has special medical interests in dermatology, preventive medicine, and musculoskeletal and sports medicine.

Dr. Claudia Molina-Pierce, Family Medicine: Dr. Molina-Pierce received her medical degree from the Columbian School of Medicine in Bogota, Columbia. She continued her training at Lutheran Medical Center in Brooklyn, NY where she completed her internship and residency program in family medicine. Dr. Molina cares for the entire family and has special medical interests in women's health and hormone balance, anti-aging measures and dermatology.

Dr. Mollie Smith-Sowell, Pediatrics: "Dr. Mollie" earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi School of Medicine and completed residency training in pediatric medicine at the University of Mississippi Medical Center. She has a special interest in the care of newborns, developmental pediatrics and the treatment of allergies and asthma.

Dr. Stephen Bolduc, Pediatrics: Dr. Bolduc has more than 30 years of experience in private pediatric practice and comes to Miramar Beach from Newport News, Virginia. Dr. Bolduc received his medical degree from the Medical College of Ohio. He completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the University of Rochester's Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New York, where he served as chief resident in his third year. Dr. Bolduc has also completed a fellowship in integrative medicine at the University of Arizona in Tucson. He is a fellow and active member of the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP).

Sacred Heart Rehabilitation at The Market Shops

Sacred Heart Rehabilitation is dedicated to restoring patients to a higher quality of life through effective treatments and patient education. Complete with state-of-the-art equipment and private treatment rooms, the new rehabilitation center will be staffed by physical, occupational and speech therapists.

Physical therapists provide orthopedic and neurological rehabilitation, including treatment of pre- and post-operative procedures, stroke, developmental delay and pain syndromes. Occupational therapists specialize in the treatment of sensory integration disorders, autism, ADHD, developmental disabilities, neurological disorders and treatment of shoulder, elbow and hand injuries. Speech therapists treat disorders of speech, language and swallowing as a result of muscle weakness or neurological impairments.

Sacred Heart currently provides rehabilitation services on the hospital campus. All adult services will relocate to the new location at The Market Shops.
